8.0 Update 2 backup problems

Since upgrading to update 2 a number of backup jobs have been hanging. Some VMs in the job hang at 99% and other VMs in other jobs hang waiting processing backup proxy. SOme of the VMs that hang have a single disk yet when they mount the disk on the backup proxy 6 or 7 disks are mounted.

I have a support call 00917614 open but no progress is being made. Has anyone else seen this issue?

The only way I can backup the VMs that add multiple copies of the same disk to a proxy is to change the proxy to network and in the job specify a proxy. Once the job has completed I change back to auto

What have you and the support team tried so far?

Not a lot to go on here, but a lot of issues with Virtual Appliance Mode seem to be cleared up by scrubbing auto mount in the proxies.

As far as I can see, you case has been escalated to the higher tier recently, so, let's wait and see what different support engineer will be able to find. Thanks.

Yes the call has been escalated. Only seems to affect 2 VMs in different jobs. I have now excluded these from the relevant jobs and will see what happens

this morning i update my servers, and now my jobs still stay at 99%

Сedric, what Veeam B&R version are you using? Judging on the OP date, this thread was discussing Update 2 for version 8.

my version is v 9.5.1038

the jobs are success but they still remain in the console in runnig state at 99 %), closing and re-openning the console , then the jobs are not running

Having similar problems here, backups are hanging either creating snapshots or deleting them. Manual snapshot creation is working fine.

We now also have "hanging" / extremy slow wrinting jobs. At first i thought it would be a REFS issue but today there are no active fulls or synthetics, backups are still hanging.

P.S. And in case of 9.5 Update 2, this looks to be a UI issue that triggers when a console stays open for an extended time. You can simply press F5 to refresh the node, this should clear any stale sessions. Thanks!
