[V13] Updates: The service is restarting
Great to see the new Software Appliance. Easy enrolled with the ISO on a Hyper-V VM with the specs 8CPU, 16GB memory and 2x 240GB disk.
Issue with updating:
In the Veeam Host Management Console under Updates, it says "Checking for updates..." for 5 seconds and then it says "The service is restarting". And that repeats again and again.
As far as we can see all firewall ports are open to veeam.com.
Which log to find out exactly what is happening?

Please open a support case, we cannot troubleshoot environment-specific issues over forum posts.
This is not a know issue now after a few thousands downloads. First JeOS updates have been published literally hours after VSA release so every installation had to go through this, but you're the first to encounter a problem.

Re: [V13] Updates: The service is restarting
From the logs Veeam found that the Veeam Updater is repeatedly failing to connect to the VBR Identity Service at 'vbr03:443'.
The error indicates that the hostname vbr03cannot be resolved or reached from the appliance.
Check from the Linux Appliance:
ping vbr03
nslookup vbr03
Check file:
cat /etc/veeam/identity-service-connection.conf
All seemed OK but in the meanwhile when I was 2 hours away, it resolved itself and Check for updates is now OK.
Anyway Veeam thanks for the quick response. It has been solved but a pitty that we do not know why the issue popped up in the first place and how it resolved itself
