Upgrade 5.0.1 to 5.0.2

Post by ThinkGrid »

Hi all

1st post. Wooo

I'm planning to upgrade our Veeam Server from 5.0.1 to 5.0.2

Is it a straight in-place upgrade? I've got the Veeam installer but I have 3 options, which one should I choose to run

Veeam_Backup_Enterprise_Manager_Setup_x64
Veeam_Backup_Search_Setup_x64
Veeam_Backup_Setup_x64

Also, any pitfalls I should look out for when upgrading

Many thanks

Hello Petrit,

Please find the upgrade instructions required in our Release Notes document:
http://www.veeam.com/files/release_note ... _notes.pdf

There shouldn't be any pitfalls, but make sure you update every Veeam B&R component in your infrastructure. Thanks.

Hello,
It's a pretty straight forward installation. I have installed all three products of this group. In my environment, we have a large amount of SQL databases and I during upgrade you have to point to your existing SQL Veeam database. Since I haven't setup the application I had to ask a few programmers.

I personal do a backup of the Veeam folder itself (I don;t need it but I have the habit to do so with most of my upgrades). Otherwise, there is nothing much, it's pretty straight forward.
