Upgrade from 12.2.0.334 to 12.3.1.1139 auto-installs PostgreSQL
Subject line says it all. I was surprised that the upgrade wizard didn't give me any option to stay on SQL Server. Is this normal?

The upgrade process just finished and it looks like I'm actually still on SQL Server. It looks like PostgreSQL got installed but the Services applet shows the service is disabled. But Veeam B&R still seems to work, so I guess all is well?

Yes, you are still on MS SQL for the configuration database.
The PostgreSQL server you see will be used for EntraID item backups jobs. If you decide to protect this workload.

Ah, thanks for the quick explanation. If it isn't already, this detail should be in the release notes so other upgraders aren't as momentarily scared as I was.
