Upgrading from socket to VUL licensing

Post by james-w »

Hi All,

Been talking in circles with Veeam and not getting a straight answer. I didn't think it was a complicated question! So maybe there's a reason I'm not getting a straight answer.

We have 10 socket VMware licences. Veeam have offered for a couple of years to upgrade to VUL licences for the same price. What I want to know is:

If we upgrade, what happens with Year 2's renewal? Do we get the same price again plus whatever this year's standard price increase is? Or do we get some "standard" VUL price after the first year's sweetheart deal?

Hi James

This is R&D forum is run by product management. While such question must be discussed with our Sales representatives.
Unfortunately R&D has no say or insights on how our customers are quoted on license renewals.

Best,

Hi @james-w as @Mildur said this is not for sales questions. You can fill out renewals form to get your question answered: https://www.veeam.com/renewal.html link :D

Haha, I wish! I’ve been trying to get an answer for months from various Sales reps. Perhaps there is a reason Veeam doesn’t want to give out this information.
