Upgrading from v3.01 to 3.1

Post by slicksilver »

Hey,

Anyone help with the following:

Is the upgrade free from 3.01 to 3.1 ie do I use same license?

When I upgrade, does it keep all existing backups and replication sets?
(it detected previous version and is asking me that it will uninstall it)

Is it fully compatible with vSphere 4

Many Thanks
Amjad

Amjad,

Yes, upgrades are free for all customers on maintenance.
Yes, upgrade detects previous version, and performs automated upgrade while keeping all existing configuration data.
Yes, it is fully compatible with vSphere (but please review the Known Issues section in the release notes document, and this thread).

Thank you!
