Is there a hidden option, or registry item we can set to force Veeam to adhere to the backup repository storage settings and use single-file (or per-job) storage method?
I've recreated our backup copy job and we are having real problems with the per-machine method.
Our engineering team regularly makes copies of existing virtual machines as part of their development process. We backup the entire cluster and previously, cloning a VM added negligible extra space to the backup. Now we are seeing an extra 200G file get created which is severely impacting our retention capabilities.

Re: Use single-file backup method for backup copy in v12
No, V12 does not support single-file for Backup Copy jobs any longer. This backup storage format is being deprecated.

This is really dissapointing.
Is there a downgrade path from v12 to v11?

No, downgrades between major versions are never supported because backup format changes. The only option is to make a new V11 install and start from scratch.

Hello,
I also used this method which saved storage space. I find it a shame that this method has to be removed. Without taking into account customer reviews.
