We have a large VM with an existing Veeam Backup Job.
Now we need another Backup Job for the same VM, pointing to a different (but slower) cifs repository. We need to do this with a normal Backup Job, not a Backup Copy Job, because there will be another backup copy from the new target to a cloud target.
We would like to move a Full Backup .vbk from the existing job to the new repository (manually), so the new job only has to do incrementals based on this full backup.
Is it possible to map a single vbk to a Backup Job so it does not need to do an initial full backup to the slower target? The Job only contains one VM.
Thanks

Re: Use VBK as seed for Backup Job
Hi,
Yes, that's possible. You need to use the Map Backup option for that. See this link for more info > Step 6. Specify Backup Storage Settings
Thanks!
