Until recently, all users who had access to the Veeam Backup and Replication console had the "Veeam Backup Administrator" role assigned to them. A few months ago, we reviewed the user list and moved several users to "Veeam Backup Operator". Today, one of these users was performing a Full VM Restore, yet they are not assigned "Veeam Restore Operator" as a role. Why are they able to do this? This is a major security concern for us
We are running Veeam10 and planning our upgrade to Veeam11. I do not want to carry any issues through the migration
I do have a support ticket open: Case # 05175371

Re: User Permissions are not restricting operations properly
Just to be clear - you mean user that had backup operator role assigned was able to execute full vm restore, correct? If so, this is not expected and further investigation with the support team is required. Thanks!
