EM server is installed on myserver.my.custom.tld, joined to domain my.custom.tld.
Business requirement comes in that web services must use publicly trusted certificates. As you can't get a public CA cert for my.custom.tld. and domain membership is a must for integrated login, there's a problem.
Sure, we'll just create some DNS records and present EM at veeamem.mycompany.com and register the correct public CA certificate to IIS.
However other parts of EM are not aware of this. For example vCenter plugin and VBR integration still seem to use the original system hostname. Can I configure EM to be aware of my custom hostname?

Re: Using different Enterprise Manager hostname than server hostname
Hello,
just to be sure... you use the VCenter plugin and not the VMware Cloud Director plugin? Because the VCD plugin has an option to enter the DNS name and if that is veeamem.mycompany.com, then it should work.
Best regards
Hannes
