Using encryption keys for backup jobs and backup copy jobs

I'm looking to start using encryption because I want to use a Veeam partner to get our backups offsite. We are currently running B&R Enterprise Plus 9.5 Update 4b. I've installed Enterprise Manager and a key has automatically been created, and I've added our backup server to Enterprise Manager.

My question is do I also need to configure encryption on the backup job also? In the Configuration Backup Settings dialog box in B&R I have enabled backup file encryption.
