Using VMWare SOBR backup with additional secondary destination

Hi All

Just after some advice on best practice please.

Using B&R 11 and I have a VMWare backup VM job that is configured with a SOBR as main backup repository, with Azure BLOB storage as Capacity Tier and set to copy backups to object storage as soon as they are created.

All is working great but my question is if there are any issues adding a copy job to this job as a secondary location across our WAN link. Effectively giving me a third copy of the backups.

Anyone see any issues/pitfalls with this?

Hi Wayne. I see no issue or pitfalls here, good plan! You should definitely consider Hardened Repository for your secondary location, as at the moment you're exposed to hackers with not a single copy of your backups being immutable. Thanks!
