Having the same issue with Synology NAS. Can't add or rescan any of my 9 repositories.
Got a support ticket on the go. If that proves any fruit, I will update

Re: Synology NAS repository issues
Additionally, please clarify if this issue is related to the file share added as repository or as source for backup job (since this thread is related to file share backup the described problem looks a bit of the topic). Cheers!Having the same issue with Synology NAS. Can't add or rescan any of my 9 repositories.

Re: Synology NAS repository issues
SORTED!
So Veeam have changed the way you need to log in to a repository, so all the current credentials suddenly were incorrect.
Before they had the format:
Username: ABCD
Password: 1234
They now need to include either the ip of the repository or the DNS name. So now it needs to be:
Username: 192.168.1.123\ABCD OR DomainName\ABCD
Password: 1234
Interestingly there is a bug, where you can actually type pretty much anything before the "\" apart from ".\" and that also seems to work.
Hope that this sorts out a few of your issues. FYI the veeam case number is #04071557

Re: Synology NAS repository issues
Alex,
Thanks for the feedback, let me check with the QA folks - cant remember any changes made with the authentication.
Generally the account always should be in domainname\username format when we are talking about Windows authentication. For localhosts/workrgroups you should use .\username or IPAddress\username to instruct Veeam B&R to use local user.
