Hello,
We have an urgent need to move a lot of data around that is getting a lot of block cloning from ReFS but we're not ready to go to v12 just yet. Is there any way to move this data using the new space efficient data mover without having to actually upgrade to v12?

Re: v12 data mover without going to v12?
Hi Squebel
No, the new data mover functionality requires the new v12 backup format. You must update your backup server to be able to upgrade those backup chains and then move the backup data.
There are alternative third party tools which can clone your backup volumes without loosing block cloning. Just note that with those tools, an active full may be required to enable FastCloning again.
Best,
Fabian
