I have 4 servers.
Main site
Server1 - VBR. Repository. SQL Server 2016.
Server2 - EM - Tape Library. Repository (Server1 and Server2 are 2 extents of MainSiteSOBR)
DR Site
Server 3 - linux hardened repo
Server 4 - linux hardened repo (Server 3 and Server4 each have 2 extents, =4 extents of DRSiteSOBR)
I also then have a few Windows proxies running in each of the VMWare environments I protect.
the upgrade checklist here ( https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120) says
So am I right in thinking that I first mount and run the v12 installer/upgrader on Server2? I would only want to upgrade the EM component on Server2 surely? The next step would be to upgrade VBR (on Server1) and that would then upgrade the other components on Server2, 3 and 4 , like when you do a patch? Are you using Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager? If yes, consider the following:
Start the upgrade procedure with this component. Veeam Backup & Replication should be upgraded after that. If you have a backup server installed on the same machine, upgrade it immediately after completing upgrade of the Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager server. Otherwise, the Veeam Configuration Database Connection Utility (DBConfig) utility will not work properly for Veeam Backup & Replication.
