V6.1 Enhancement Requests
Congratulations on a very usable release, but progress never ceases...
My two wishes for enhancements are hopefully quite straight forward:
(1) VeeamZIP - Have the ability to add a password so that anyone with the free version cannot just open the archive.... maybe even encrypt the file. This will save me using a third party tool to secure the backup.
(2) Scheduling: Allow multiple Veeam tasks (items that can be scheduled separately) to be scheduled together in sequences, and if possible perform different tasks based on the success or failure of the last task.
I am relatively new to your products - please let me know if the above can already be done!
Thanks,
Doug Coleman

Hi Doug, thanks for your kind words! Can you please elaborate your 2nd feature request a little further?

Re: V6.1 Enhancement Requests
My 2nd request is relatively simple. Depending upon the success/failure of a job, I would like to perform a second job.
For example: After I successfully create a Veeamzip file, I would like to copy it to two different locations.
After I successfully backup, I would like to replicate my machines to my other server and then (assuming successful replication) failover to that server.

In other words, you are asking for a Veeam Orchestrator
It's a nice idea indeed, having workflows and dependencies on previous tasks to do other tasks. Cool!

Re: V6.1 Enhancement Requests
I guess something of this might already be available through PowerShell, need to check it with our PS community forums.

Another 6.1 enhancment request
It would be nice to have a column added for "Last Run" date and time to all the jobs main view.

It would also be handy to have the ability to create folders in the tree view for each category. Example, create a folder under the backup jobs for each site.

It would be nice if the job "failures" was limited to the job and not the retries. For example, if a job fails on the first try but succeeds on the 3rd the job succeeded. Dont bother me with the failures
If that feature is all ready in 6.1 great. Currently I get way too many false alarms in the email report that I kind of ignore it.

Re: V6.1 Enhancement Requests
1) Allow prefix for replication jobs in addition to suffix. That way all the replication VMs will be grouped together alphabetically instead of interspersed with the rest of the production VMs (we're replicating to the same vCenter cluster).
2) Allow the job window to be expanded horizontally.

I think you can do something like that with the Veeam Enterprise Manager.mooreka777 wrote:It would be nice if the job "failures" was limited to the job and not the retries. For example, if a job fails on the first try but succeeds on the 3rd the job succeeded. Dont bother me with the failures

Still waiting for notifications (Success, Warning, Fail) at the Job level and not just globally!
