Per the V6 Release Notes: "Veeam Backup is licensed per CPU Socket ("CPU Sockets") for each Managed Server. For more information, see http://www.veeam.com/eula.html.
I understand you pay for a license(s) for each VM host that you backup.
With the new structure of V6 do you need to pay for licensing of the following?
Veeam Backup & Replication Server
Backup Proxy Server
Backup Repository Server
Veeam Backup & Replication Enterprise Manager
Veeam Backup Search Server
Backup Target
Essentially which components are considered a "Managed Server"?
FYI: Seems like Veeam site is getting hit pretty hard, must be all the downloads

Re: V6 License question, "Managed Server" = ?
The vShpere or Hyper-V hosts you are backing up/replicating from are "Managed Servers". All other components are simply part of the solution and are included at the license level you purchase (either Standard or Enterprise).

Re: V6 License question, "Managed Server" = ?
Just wanted to add that only "Source" hosts are those "Managed servers". "Target" hosts (such as in case with replication or migration) do not have to be licensed. Thanks!
