V6 to V8 - Can't restore guest files on old backups

We upgraded from V6 to V8.
When trying to restore guest files (Windows) I only see new backups since the upgrade.
The V6 backups files are still there and they are still available via every other restore option (Entire VM, VM files, VM Hard disks etc) but not Guest files (Windows)
The VM is a Windows 2012 file server and I had no issue using the guest file restore before the upgrade. We upgraded because of the integrated tape functionality.

Is there a way to open the file or to make it browsable via Guest Files (Windows) restore?

Braden, was it an in-place upgrade? Do you observe this behavior on other VMs or just on this particular one? How about Enterprise Manager - are you able to search and restore files from there? I'd also recommend opening a case with technical support so they could take a look at your configuration. Thanks.
