V7 primary repository crash, switch to a copy

Post by Giacomo_N »

Hi guys, my primary repository is death, i've a daily veeam copy job in another repository.
Can i map my jobs to using that repository?
If i try to edit the job and map backup to this second repository i receive a warning: " Selected backup is already in use by the following job: 'CP-Full' . Do you want to map it to this job instead?

thanks in advance

Giacomo, yes, you should be able to map your regular backup job to the backups created by backup copy job. However, do not forget to disable backup copy job to avoid possible conflicts. Thanks.

I've try, but i receive this error:

Code: Select all

Error: Microsoft SQL server hosting the configuration database is currently unavailable. Possible reasons are heavy load, networking issue, server reboot, or hot backup. Please wait, and try again later. Error information: The DELETE statement conflicted with the SAME TABLE REFERENCE constraint "FK_OIBs_OIBs". The conflict occurred in database "VeeamBackup", table "dbo.Backup.Model.OIBs", column 'link_id'. The statement has been terminated.

Based on the error description, this seems to be a general issue with overloaded SQL. So, you might want to restart your management server and try to map the backup job again. If this doesn’t help, ask support team for assistance.

Thanks.

Correct, the error has nothing to do with the backup mapping.
