v8 append notes filling up

Hi,

v8 introduced a new notification feature: Append notes field. If you previously had the "Add VM notes" feature enabled, you should be warned of the fact that after the to v8 upgrade the "Append notes" feature is enabled by default. In our setups it generated unexpected long notes fields. Don't know it the notes field has a limit, if not in large environments it could potentially fill up the vCenter DB unexpectedly.

To my opinion, Veeam should not have this new feature enabled by default, if you had the add to notes option enabled.

Hi Bastiaan - agree, this was an overlook on our part to change the behavior for upgrading users. We always try our best not to do this. Sorry about that! That said, I don't believe this can cause any issues to vCenter DB, as we are usually testing everything for the extreme cases. Thanks!
