Currently trying to migrate a Domain Controller over to a new VMWare host
Ive added the "Enable application-aware processing", Ive specified my domain admin account
When i goto test the credentials I get
15/03/2017 16:27:32 :: Testing admin share accessibility via VIX Error: Cannot upload file to admin share [C:\Windows].
Cannot create folder in guest: [C:\Windows\VeeamGuestHelpersTest].
VIX Error: You do not have access rights to this file Code: 13
Ive reinstalled the VMWare tools on the DC
Any further advice on migrating/replicating a DC?

Re: V8 - Replicating DC to another VMHost
Hi Phil, try to run actual replication job. Chances are it is just communication over VIX that is failed, in case the VM is available over network, the job will succeed.

The job succeeeds, but I'm worried as its a domain controller that it will not restore correctly when replicated to new host

If the job succeeds, you do not have to worry. Basically, there're two ways of communicating with the backed up VM - via network and via VIX, and the latter is used in case the VM is not available over the network.
Btw, here's a dedicated KB article regarding DC recovery, might be useful.
