Hundreds, perhaps not. We have 83 protected VMs though, and it works very well for us. I of course utilize powershell for everything I can, as managing 83 different jobs manually (166 jobs if you include replicas) would be like ripping teeth out through my nose. I could foresee a bit too much job overhead with hundreds of VMs.foggy wrote: You wouldn't want to go this way in an environment with hundreds of VMs...

That's what I'm talking about. However, it's always a matter of preferences.

Re: V9 release date?
I'll probably be changing to use multiple VMs per job when 9 comes out, for similar resources (Exchange DAGs, File Servers, etc), as I'd like to leverage the deduplication a bit better. I still prefer having multiple jobs, because as you say it's always a matter of preference, but there are definite advantages to grouping VMs as was the design intent by Veeam. A mixture of the two will fit our environment best (I hope). I normally use hourly offsets to keep the job overhead from causing jobs to fail.

Hello,
Is the possibility to have one backup file per VM will be present?
It's easier to restore from tape.

Re: V9 release date?
v9 was released and provided to all of our partners a few weeks ago, as we need to give them time to prepare before making it generally available. This gap is absolutely essential for our partners who are providing Veeam-based services, such as Veeam Cloud Connect.

Re: V9 release date?
Ah, that'd explain it then. I probably did that in a bit of a vendor marketing email blitz. It's unusual that I'd do it for Veeam though, your emails are usually one of the more interesting vendor emails - interesting articles and not a lot of marketing fluff. Our Veeam rep is coming here next week, I'll chase him up for the link.vmniels wrote: I noticed you have opted out of our e-mails. This is the reason why you didn't get an e-mail. Please contact your local Veeam contacts.
Thanks
