VBK File Copy to Veeam Cloud Connect Provider
Hi all,
We 've subscribed to a Veeam Cloud Connect provider and we've just started our Backup copy jobs to retains GFS copy off-site.
All is processing perfectly... But...
In addition to those backup copy jobs, we have some old veeam backups stored on a NAS (standalone VBK files).
Those VBK files are old monthly archives that we keep offline from our Veeam backup server, just in case of...
Instead of keeping those VBK files stored locally on an old NAS, I'd prefer copying them to our new Veeam Cloud connect Provider.
I'm able to import those old VBK files to my local Veeam Server Catalog, but I can't find (if exists...) a way to do this copy using cloud repository as destination...
Would it be possible ?
Thanks in advance.

You can copy .vbk files to cloud repository, using "Files" node. Thanks.

Re: VBK File Copy to Veeam Cloud Connect Provider
Sorry, but what do mean by "Files" Node ?
In the "file" section of the VBR console, I can create a new File copy job.
But in the creation wizard, I can't find the Cloud Repository as destination... any suggestion ?
Thanks.

Below on your left you can see different nodes. There should be one called "Files". Using it, you can copy/paste needed backup file to cloud repository. Thanks.

Re: VBK File Copy to Veeam Cloud Connect Provider
So I'm in the right place.
If I go to "Files", I can see :
Microsoft Windows
|__>MyVeeamServer
|__> C:\
|__> D:\
|__> R:\ (Local Repo 1)
|__> S:\ (Local Repo 1)
Service Providers
|__> ProviderName
|__> MyTenantName
|__> Job1
|__> Job2
|__> Job3
But no way to copy/paste files (Paste is greyed out), and no way to set up a file copy job as "Service Provider" is not part of the destinations...

Ah, your SP provider seems to be using Scale-Out Backup repository, and manual file copy operations are blocked on such repository type. Thanks.

Re: VBK File Copy to Veeam Cloud Connect Provider
You can ask your service provider to create additional quota on general (non Scale-Out) backup repository and use it for file copy operations or store those backups somewhere else. Thanks.
