vbr name in email?

Post by bkain1 »

I'm having our 9 vbr's send me their reports/errors, as well as them a part of a V1 setup. I just realized that the machine names, of each vbr, is not showing up in the emails which are directly from the vbrs. Is there a variable I can set somewhere, to get this and pass it in the email? the VBR emails are just for testing to see what, if anything, V1 is not picking up.

thanks

Hello,
what about setting the "from" email address to the machine name (vbr01prod@... vbr03-test@...)? That's what I do to distinguish my different VBR servers with filter rules in Outlook

Best regards,
Hannes

I can't. The Ford internal email system strips them. Thanks though

to answer the question: there is no variable for that. So getting an allowed email address from your email team would probably still the way to go.

you can use the following variables in the subject: %Time% (completion time), %JobName%, %JobResult%, %ObjectCount% (number of file shares in the job) and %Issues% (number of files shares in the job that have finished with the Warning or Failed status).
