VCSA cant be add in veeam backup

Post by keithLi »

Dear All,

I'm using Veeam Backup & Replication 9 on server 2012 R2, and recenty i have installed VCSA 6.7 and i tried to add VCSA in veeam under Virtual Machine, and i received "Authentication failed because the remote party has closed the transport stream", and after try to google it and people ask to edit below registry, i did follow but still no luck, any help would be appreicated, Thanks

Locate and then click the following subkey in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\KeyExchangeAlgorithms\Diffie-Hellman

On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

Type ClientMinKeyBitLength for the name of the DWORD, and then press Enter.

Right-click ClientMinKeyBitLength, and then click Modify.

In the Value data box, type 00000200, and then click OK.

Exit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.

Hi Keith

V9 is not supported anymore. And vSphere 6.7 requires V9.5 and a specific update depending on the 6.7 update level you have. Please make sure you use Veeam V11a.

Thanks
