Veeam 3PAR snapshot integration storage planning

Hello,

I'm currently looking into implementing 3par Snapshots with our Veeam environment. Can anybody link me to any storage planning related doco?
I need to plan for how much free san storage its going to take to make use of this feature.

Hi Chris,

For storage.. If you take a snapshot of the LUN, then you will need that space for the snapshot copy of that LUN. We will clean it up afterwards but you still need it.

Thanks.Here's a more specific question, If i wanted to keep a week of snapshots of a 4TB datastore, am I going to need 28TB of free space on my SAN or are snapshots done in an initial full then incremental after that manner?

Snapshots only store changes, so it depends on how active the source volume is.
