Veeam 4.1 Speed Example! WOW!

The Problem:

We have a physical DFS server with 1.8 TB of data that we were backing up with Backup Exec 2010. It was taking ~ 27 hours to perform a full backup of that server.

The Solution:

I migrated this DFS data to a new virtual server and migrated the data to it from a tape restore so I could back it up with Veeam Backup and Replication 4.1.

The Results:

I performed a full initial backup of that server (1.8 TB) in just shy of 9 hours! ..... Woo Hoo! I am happy! ........

Thanks Veeam Guys! That's one less thing I need to worry about when I am in China!
