Hi all,
we are running on Veeam 5. We have two servers running with veeam5 in two sites
On one of them i can't restore on file level.
I always get this error message: d:\ mount failed
there is no recognized filesystem on this device....
that is happens to all vm's which were stored on this server.
Any idea why?
we are running Server 2008 R2 with Veeam 5 on it
and Vmware Center 5.5 with 5.1 and 5.5 Hosts
Thanks!

Re: Veeam 5 restoring file level
Probably those VMs have some unsupported disks (e.g., GPT or dynamic disks). All unsupported disk types are outlined in the release notes document. You can try Other OS wizard to workaround this.
Btw, Veeam B&R v5 does not support vSphere 5.5 at all. Is there any reason why do you run such an old and unsupported version?

Re: Veeam 5 restoring file level
you right one of the guests has a dynamic disks.
But Im not sure why i can't restore a guest with windows 7? no dynamic disks no gpt
Yes their is a reason why we are running this old system, currently we are on the way to change our infrastructure. So we have to wait till we have this step done.
BTW we have a second backup sollution at the moment we have running as well

Re: Veeam 5 restoring file level
There are also other possible reasons of native FLR failure (lack of free space for example). Please try the above mentioned workaround.

Re: Veeam 5 restoring file level
Support for GPT and dynamic disks was added in the later versions of B&R, but v5 definitely does not support those.
