veeam 5+ vcloud director
Hello,
We have been running veeam 5 beta a while now.
It seems like instant restores doesnt play well with vcloud director.
Is this something anyone else has tried?
Regards
fraggeln

Re: veeam 5+ vcloud director
This is what I get when I choose to connect the vm to network, and power it on.
2010-10-21 16:56:43 Starting VM "2123015289-mysql.demo.local2" recovery
2010-10-21 16:56:44 Connecting to host "xxx"
2010-10-21 16:56:47 Checking if vPower NFS datastore is mounted on host
2010-10-21 16:56:47 Locking backup file
2010-10-21 16:56:48 Fail Publishing VM
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Thisis what I get when I dont try to start the virtual machine.

2010-10-21 16:59:28 Fail Failed to publish VM "1115776058-mysql.demo.local".
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
If I do a full recover it works like a charm.

We did not test Instant VM Recovery with vCloud Director. Please shoot us full logs at support@veeam.com so that we can see understand what exactly fails, might be a very simple fix. Thanks!

Just one stupid question, where do I find the logfiles?Gostev wrote:We did not test Instant VM Recovery with vCloud Director. Please shoot us full logs at support@veeam.com so that we can see understand what exactly fails, might be a very simple fix. Thanks!
I have looked in the installation-dir, but I have not found anything looking like a logfile
Re: veeam 5+ vcloud director
You can locate log files if you click Help->Support Information in the backup console.
