Veeam 6.5 Incremental Replication

Post by bennie1988 »

Best Veeam users,

I got a problem with Veeam 6.5 (i think it wil be a starter problem this software is new for me)

Configuration:

Site1:
Vmware 5
Local Veeam proxy

Site2
Vmware 5
Remote Veeam proxy

PS: its in the same network. so LAN not WAN

The settings that i have configured:
-First i have made a full replication from site 1 to site 2 (Works perfect)
-After that i have done the following: Low connetion bandwidth (Enable replica seeding)/ Map replicas to existing Vms . Also i have set the Source proxy and Dest proxy.

It keeps doing the full vm of 600GB (replication)......
Any one got an idea what iam missing here?

Just a few follow-up questions:

1) Assuming that you had already replicated required VMs to Site 2 within a given job, why did you decide to put into use seed functionality?

2) Can you check corresponding job session statistics and see whether CBT was used or not. In order to get this information:

Go to History -> double-click a job session -> click a VM Name -> look there for special [cbt] metrics.

Additionally, in case on-site replication, there is no need to configure proxy servers on both ends; one proxy(closer to production site) should be enough.

Thanks.

Because i was reading this forum and i saw this http://forums.veeam.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=10220 so i tested that

Oke i wil delete the remote proxy

For CBT there must not be any snapshot on vm right??

Thanks.

Correct, for CBT to be enabled on the VM, it should not contain any snapshots at the moment of the first job run.

Btw, what is the amount of transferred data you see in the job statistics?
