We have a utility W2k8 R2 server. VEEAM 6 runs on it. We would like to use it as our WSUS server too.
Anyone doing this?

Re: VEEAM 6 BUR and WSUS 3.0 SP2 on same server?
I do not see any incompatibilities in this scenario, just make sure your backup proxy doesn't suffer from CPU/Memory resources while running backup/replication jobs.

I see other two problems you need to evaluate:
- both use MSSQL for storing data, check if the can coexist into two instances of the same installation
- WSUS downloads huge amounts of data from Microsoft and stores them locally. Be careful about the partition where you place the wsus repository and the Veeam required datastores, especially for NFS.

If it is not possible to install two instances (pretty common scenario btw), a shared SQL Server instance can be used to host Veeam B&R and WSUS databases.dellock6 wrote:both use MSSQL for storing data, check if the can coexist into two instances of the same installation
