Hi,
I'm replicating VM's from a remote overseas site which has a very slow/poor internet connection. Its a slow process BUT, I'm raring up the VM's on this site then transferring them over to our datacentre via FTP, which is working well, ive been able to restore about half of the 30 vm's from this site.
The Replica job I have is for the WHOLE ESX host, with EXCLUSIONS for the VM's that I haven't restored/seeded yet. Everytime I manage to get a VM restored I then edit the job, and remove that VM from the exclusions, then map it.
My question is, moving forward, if someone ADD's a VM to the remote site, and we haven't mapped a seed, will the replication job FAILS on this VM, OR, because there is no seed will it start replicagint the entire VM from scratch?
Thanks

Re: Veeam 9 Seeded Replication Question
Hi and welcome to the community!
If backup file or chain is copied but not mapped it will exist just like independent file(s), so replication job will start from the scratch.
