Veeam 9 Update 1?

Post by nunciate »

Any idea on when v9 Update 1 will be released? The last post I saw said by the end of this month.
My company policy will not allow me to upgrade from v8 until v9 U1 is released and I really want to upgrade soon.

We will be starting pilot deployments in the next few days, and will make it generally available around mid-March.

Same goes for me. A date for general availability would be much appreciated.

Mid-March is the best date we can give right now, as actual timelines will depend solely on the results of those pilot deployments. Thanks!

Hi,

as service provider we became to following e-mail at friday:
Veeam Backup & Replication™ v9 Update 1 (build 9.0.0.1491) has been released to manufacturing (RTM). It is being provided now to select Veeam customers (for example, customers experiencing production issues addressed by the update) and is expected to be generally available (GA) in about a week.[...]
Hope this will help you. We already updated our three sites with cloud connect and BaaS infrastructure and everything went fine.

When update 1 is released, will the v9 install iso be updated as well?
Waiting on upgrading until u1 is released, and it would be nice to just do 1 "upgrade" :)

U1 is already mentioned in Community Forums Digest as being released but I do not see it on Updates-Website yet! Is that correct?

We never update the iso so you'll have to download both separately.

As mentioned in the digest, if you have an issue and it is resolved with U1 you can get it via support. It will be GA within 1 week or so, so just a but more patience.
