Veeam AI online assistant

Post by jmke79 »

Hello all, asked the online assistant how to disable it, as company policy doesn't allow it, brought me correctly to https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120

created the reg dword key, set value to 1, restarted service
the thing is still there

what am I missing? :)

did the excercise twice, even restarted the whole server after configuring the regkey, validated that the value of AIAssistantDisabled is indeed "1" , and that it is a reg dword 32bit, in the correct regkey location

I would suggest you open a case to investigate.

Maybe just a random idea, are you connecting with a remote console? Could you maybe try to add the key not only on the backup server but on the computer where you have opened the console (eg your laptop)

hey tdewin, thanks for the reply, will open a case if we can't get it sorted for sure; we don't use a remote installed vbr console
