Veeam and Cloudlink SecureVM

Post by gnussbaum »

Hello,

New to the group and Veeam so apologies in advance if this is already known but I couldn't find it. We currently use Cloudlink SecureVM to encrypt some of our drives on some of our servers. This product uses bitlocker to encrypt the drives. We are setting up our backups and when it finishes the encrypted drives do not show up, even though they are unlocked. I'm trying to find out why these weren't able to back up.

Thanks in advance.

Hi George, where do they not show up? Have you tried to perform full VM restore and these disks are not being restored? Are they being backed up by the backup job (you can see that in the action log for the corresponding VM)? Thanks!

Hi,

I contacted support and just got off the phone with them. I was looking at restoring at the file level of the encrypted drive which isn't supported. I'll need to figure out my options.

Thanks,
George
