Veeam Application for Restore only?

Veeam Backup and Replication is installed on our backup server and we are securing a backup every month to an external harddisk.

I also want to be able to restore files from the external disk on my client and not only on the server. Do i need to install backup and replication on
all clients i want to restore from or is there a slim restore only product i can use?

Because Backup and Replication includes way too much stuff and i really only want to restore from my client.

You can install Backup & Replication console for the item restore operations, it is much lightweight than the Veeam B&R server and contains mount server component that is necessary to achieve what you're after. Thanks!

So can i restore Files from a external Harddisk connected to my computer with only the console installed?

I havent quite figured that out yet.

There's also an independent extract.exe tool that can be used for restore without installing any Veeam B&R components at all.
