Veeam B&R Log Files
Folks,
The folder "C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\" in our VBR server is around 26 GB in size.
It contains logfiles about jobs, VMs and physical machines that are long gone. Is this folder going to grow out of control, or is there a logfile cleanup utility that may be used?
For example, there are 1928 zip files from the beginning of 2023 and onwards.
Kind regards,
PJ

Hello @perjonsson1960 you may want to review this KB article on log rotation - https://www.veeam.com/kb1825

Re: Veeam B&R Log Files
I decided to move the logfiles to a new location, in order to clean it up. It seems to work fine.
However, one (1) of the logfiles is still updated in the old default location. The name is "Svc.VssHwSnapshotProviderService.log". It has not been recreated in the new folder.

Re: Veeam B&R Log Files
Are there any Veeam representatives who have read the above regarding the file "Svc.VssHwSnapshotProviderService.log"?

Re: Veeam B&R Log Files
Hi Per Jonsson
There are a few logs (Svc.VssHwSnapshotProviderService.log, ExplorerStandByService, Plugins) which are not affected by the reg key. This is a known behavior but I don't have an ETA when it will be fixed.
Let me see if we can add the limitation to the kb article.
Best,
Fabian

Re: Veeam B&R Log Files
Both "Plugin" and "Plugins" seem to be moved to the new location.
"ExplorerStandbyService", however, is not.

Re: Veeam B&R Log Files
Ok thanks.
It may be possible that the path for the plugin logs are fixed by now.
Best,
Fabian
