Veeam B&R Sharepoint

Hi everyone,

We are working with a Sharepoint Server offline and a Veeam Backup & Replication.

We want to know if we can backup sharepoint. I read about Veeam Microsoft 365, but Is that another app to veeam B&R?

Is it possible to do backup from Sharepoint in Veeam B&R? Or just restore file?

Correct, this are different products. With Veeam Backup & Replication, you can protect the OS drive, the SharePoint installation and the SharePoint data. With Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, you can only protect the data inside the SharePoint.

If you have an onPremise Sharepoint Server and VBR installed, I recommend to use VBR to protect the Sharepoint Server.

Yes, you can use Veeam Backup & Replication to protect onPremise Sharepoint Server. You can find the supported Sharepoint version in our helpcenter.
If you take a VM or Agent backup of the Sharepoint and SQL Server with Guest Application Aware processing, you will be able to use the Sharepoint Explorer to restore the Data. Single Files are also possible.
