Hi I am new to Veeam
I have the current setup
main site -
2 servers Vmware ESXi - Dell r610
1 SAN storage - Dell MD3000i
have 4 hosts running so far
We want to develop a DR site to our satellite offices so if the main site crashes there is no or minimal downtime, the DR site takes over
but I am not sure what is needed
do I need to buy the same hardware for the DR Site? or can we get for ex. IBM or HP? or is Dell needed?

Re: Veeam Backup and Repliaction
Hello Rupinder,
Basically, there are no special hardware requirements for the DR site, as Veeam Backup and Replication is storage agnostic. In other words, you can use any hardware on the remote site. If you want to know more about DR plans and commonly used scenarios, you can search these forums for "DR, site, backup" keywords.
In addition, please take a look at our F.A.Q. section which should answer some of the basic questions.
Thank you!
