veeam backup before upgrade
The upgrade requirements indicate to do a SQL backup of the Veeam database prior to doing the upgrade. is there a utility to do this?
I only see SQL configuration tools no maintenance and in veeam i dont see any backup options

Re: veeam backup before upgrade
It can be done with the special tool called Configuration Backup that was introduced in 6.5 version. This feature is responsible for retrieving configuration data directly from the SQL database. Configuration backup can be found under: Menu -> Configuration backup.is there a utility to do this?
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Re: veeam backup before upgrade
i am upgrading to 6.5.. currently 6.0
the SQL installation is embedded in the initial Veeam install.
There isnt any SQL maintenance option for the database backup

Re: veeam backup before upgrade
And with Management Studio all you will have to do is to:
1. Find required database.
2. Right-click on it.
3. Select “Tasks” -> “Back up”.
4. Set “Backup Type” to “Full”.
5. And follow the backup wizard steps.
Thanks.
