Veeam Backup - Password to Long

After I install the software and try to add a ESX server, when asked for credentials, I get an error that the password is to long.

Wiel, you use Windows 7 and this operating system is not supported yet, unfortunately. For more information on system requirements please refer to the product release notes.

This still appears to be an issue - I get the same error under Windows Server 2008 R2.

Is there a workaround?

Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 will be supported with the release of Veeam Backup and Replication 4, which will be available this month
