Veeam Backup & Replication doesn't remove old Points

Hi guys!

I have configured "Backup Job" and set "Restore points to keep on disk" = 8.

But I have 9 Points already on disk.

Why soft doesn't delete old poins?

Hi Max and welcome to the community!

Can you share more details about the backup configuration?
It looks like a normal behavior of the backup job using a Forward Incremental backup method with weekly fulls, retention will be applied when you will have second full backup followed by 7 restore points.
I'd recommend you to set simple retention to 7, this way the job will retain 2 full backup files and 12 incremental (possible maximum until retention applied). Thanks!

That's expected behavior.
Retention will remove the first two files on Saturday (tomorrow), when you will have 8 restore points (full backup + 6 increments + newly created full backup = 8 RPs). Thanks!
