Hello,
I want to set up backup and replication between 2 VMware ESX hosts with VEEAM Backup & Replication.
These two hosts are on two different sites connected by a VPN Site to Site.
Each of VMware hosts has 1 socket, so I want to buy a VEEAM license for 2 hosts 2 sockets.
For backup, I want to install a NAS on each site to create a local backup job and a backup job copy to replicate the backups on the other site NAS.
To optimize local backup jobs (bandwidth VPN Site to Site is 6 Mbits), I want to create 2 VEEAM installs (1 insall on a VM on the first host and another install on a VM on the second host).
A VEEAM Backup & Replication license for 2 hosts 2 sockets allow me to achieve these two installs ?

Re: VEEAM Backup & Replication licence
Hello,
Yes, it should be enough.
Veeam Backup & Replication is licensed per physical CPU socket of "source" hypervisor host (where protected virtual machines reside). Destination hosts for replication and migration jobs do not need to be licensed.
Also please read related FAQ section. Thanks!
