Veeam Backup & Replication (using Quantum DXi)

Post by faridah_isa »

Hi All,

I've question from customer regarding to :‹Veeam Backup & Replication (using Quantum DXi)

if they remove the backup data in source path, it will also remove in the target path, right ? Is the nfs path share need to be empty before we can delete the nfs share in dxi ? Can it manually remove the content of nfs share in command line and reclaim space back ?

Hello,
per default not because it caused too many issues with accidentally deleted VMs.

There is a setting for that: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=100 "Remove deleted items data after"

I suggest not to manually remove. This can lead to database inconsistencies. You can delete in the UI. Home -> backups -> disk -> right click -> Delete from disk

Best regards,
Hannes
