Veeam Backup Reporting ?

Post by albertwt »

Hi All,

I'd like to know how can I get the backup report from Veeam Backup to see:

Which VM is backed up
What's the Backup frequency
Where the backup is saved/stored
How long is the retention policy for the VM backup to be retained

Is there any PowerShell script or Tools to do that?

Thanks in advance.

We have these reports in Veeam One (part of the Availability Suite) but there are also Powershell posts in the Powershell forum (for example powershell-f26/list-vm-s-which-are-back ... ne#p220434)

These are sadly not available in the free edition; backup related reports are only in the paid edition so my advise is to look for a script then :-)

Ah I see,
OK, hopefully, I can find the Powershell script to get that list.

Niels,

Does it means that one VCenter can only be monitored by one VeeamONE server ?

I cannot find anyway to add two more VCenter server to the VeeamONE console.

You can add multiple vCenter via the Veeam One Monitor Client. Rightclick in the left pane on virtual infrastructure and select add server (then VMware server) however if your license exceeds the amount of sockets that need to be monitored it will add the server but mention "license exceeded".

Are you using the free version? This might be related but I can't confirm this as I don't have a free edition available.
