Re: No operating system found after restored
Hi Steven,
It's hard to say anything definite without looking into your logs files, but I've just noticed that you're using Veeam B&R version 3. Is this correct?
Thanks!

Yes. version 3.
We are in the process of tying to restore from another date. the first 2 does not work.
Kindly let me know which log file I should look for and paste it here.

Re: Veeam Backup 3.x no operating system found after restore
In fact, version 3.x is not even listed there, because its support ended almost 3 years ago. The current product version is 6.0, please install it and perform the same test with this version to see if you still have this issue before opening a support case.

Gostev,
Not all customer of Veeam have the chance to upgrade. We was one of the customer who brought veeam before the license of the free ESXi cut off.
As such are still using the old 3.5 ESXi version. We are in the stage of migration this year. However another issue of the NetApp storage support for Ontap 7.3.2 came up. We are working with NetApp get it certified before Vmware say yes to support vsphere 5.0 with ontap 7.3.2.

Typically, you should use customer support portal at http://vee.am/support
Although again, the version you are using is no longer supported, unfortunately.
