Veeam Backup Viewer Roles

HI Experts,

Please help if Veeam backup viewer role have permission to delete backup jobs .

As per Veeam I can find Veeam backup viewer only have read access

Veeam Backup Viewer is not allowed to delete jobs. Do you experience a different behavior or just making sure?

I have been given Backup Viewer access. However when I click Veeam console on the backup server it ask me "to continue, type an administrator password and then click Yes"
In username is showing by default Administrator . I think it should be BackupViewer

Please help

Sounds like a local user rights issue in your environment. Could you please share a few screenshots representing what's going on?

Thanks for the reply . I am doing RDP to backup server and trying to open the Veeam console. Right now I have been given View Backup viewer access, however when I open the Veeam console its asking me the administrator password which I don't have as I have only Veeam backup view details.

Didn't find the option to attach the screenshot . If you can let me know I can attach it too

Hi,

Is there an option to manually type in your credentials once you are connected via RDP and launch the console?

Regarding screenshots upload you can use any external image hosting service, for example, https://imgur.com/, then simply include the link to the screenshot in your post.

Hi Sutirtha,

It's just UAC and not the B&R console login UI, so you should type in account credentials having Local Admin rights on the machine. Once the console is launched you will be able to log in using your backup viewer account credentials.
