So am working on a plan to take the current company I work for to Veeam Backup and Replication. It's been a few years since I did this, but it is also my 4th or 5th time.
Anyway.
What I want to do is the following.
Backup 10 servers, all virtual. They will be spread across two physical servers with replication and such (not Veeam).
These will be backed up as follows.
To server store and replicated to cloud store.
To tape on Schedule to fit around
(This isn't the complete backup, but gives what's needed for this)
So Physical store and cloud replicated. Then to tape on schedule.
In the past to complete this I would have brought the enterprise CPU licence to cover the physical servers. But now it's different.
Can I accomplish this with Veeam Backup Essentials or do I need to stick with Enterprise editions as before. Not sure who this works now with the new VUL licencing.
Any advice? Concreate answers?
