I installed the Veeam B&R software for a short period of time, and immediately after install a separate w3wp process shot past 2GB of RAM usage.
I even ended the process and it caused no issues with Exchange OWA. So I uninstalled Veeam and the IIS process is still running at high Ram. I can only manually end it after reboot.
Of course we don't reboot every day, so it's not a big deal. But still, this is kind of annoying.

Re: VEEAM causing high IIS RAM usage after install
So, you're saying that immediately after VB&R installation some external process stated consuming memory, right? Have you tried to check to which application pool the said process corresponds? It might be some environmental issue having nothing to do with VB&R. Thanks.

Re: VEEAM causing high IIS RAM usage after install
Looks like it was a fluke. I guess I had to restart a few times.
Anyway thanks for letting me know how to check that, I was curious.
