Veeam CDP + Replication Configuration

Post by shahzaib.khan »

Greetings All,

Ever since V11 was released with the CDP functionality, I have been searching on internet regarding my query but it has not been fruitful.

Currently I have 2 Veeam Replication jobs configured on my DB Production Server.
Production to High Availability (HA) Server (ON-SITE), scheduled after every 20 minutes
Production to DR (OFF-SITE), scheduled once a day.

Is it possible to have CDP configured for Production to High Availability (HA) Server (ON-SITE), thus removing the 20 minutes difference
AND
Keep the Production to DR (OFF-SITE) replication job, scheduled once a day, intact so our DR site replication is not disturbed.

I have discussed it with the Partners in my country but none have provided any definitive answer.

If anyone has worked on this, kindly share your experience.

Regards.

Yes, this is possible. The only thing that need a bit of manual coordination is VSS consistency processing of both jobs should not happen at same time.
